All
causes inevitably become political
That
being said.
It is important to keep your issues as non-partisan as you can.
In many cases this will take an effort. But it is and always will
be about sticking to just the issue. Who got it going, fueled it
and / or is making money off of it will become evident if you just
stick to the facts. generally it will have a party affiliation at
some point. Let the dark side of the beast take it on.
At
some point you will be summoned by the powers that be to see if
you are willing to "work it out." Occasionally this can
work, but seldom are the terms satisfactory.
When
the options run out
At some point you will have very little lattitude
on an issue. It is what it is. The deluge of facts will inevitably
point its muzzle on a particular party or a hybrid of business and
politic. You won't be able to disguise it any longer.
As the facts of the issue come to the forefront, there will be a
clamoring to be on the side of the voters. Sadly, election time
is when issues finally become important. Then, in a very matter
of fact way, you and your group will make it very clear that yours
and the votes of many others will be directly tied to the issue
. Thats politics, and at that point you will be political.
Whether you like it or not!
